on Friday, January 22, 2010.

Then enter the $5,000 Creative Core Business Idea Competition!

If your idea is innovative and holds real promise to be successful in the market, you can win $6,000 - a great reward for your entrepreneurial dreaming or seed capital to start turning your idea into reality.

* $5,000 is awarded to the student and $1,000 is awarded to the institution the student attends

To apply, simply read the rules below, fill out the application form and submit. It's that easy.

1. Only High School and College Students are eligible for entry.
2. Only 1 submission per person. If multiple submissions are entered, only the first submission
   will be accepted.
3. Applicant must live with Central Upstate New York (defined as the following counties: Cayuga, Cortland, Herkimer, Jefferson, Lewis, Madison, Oneida, Onondaga, Oswego, Seneca, St. Lawrence, and Tompkins) or attend a post-secondary institution within the 12 county region.
4. Applicant shall hold harmless and indemnify the Metropolitan Development Association of Syracuse and Central New York, its affiliates, agents and employees of and from any and all loss, costs, claims, judgments or liabilities of any sort resulting from its acts of omissions in connection with the competition.
5. If the Applicantis under eighteen (18) years old, the submission must be accompanied by consent in writing of the Applicant's parent or legal guardian.

At least two finalists will present their ideas at the CreativeCoreNY.com Emerging Business Competition on April 15, 2010. Attendance at this event is mandatory. Failure to attend will result in disqualification from the competition.
