The Regional Alliance

The Central Upstate Regional Alliance was launched in September of 2004 to serve as a vehicle for collaborative regional development. The 42-member, twelve-county public-private economic development consortium is building a coalition of regional leaders from business, academia, and the public sector, willing to work together on a common agenda.

The 12 County Region consists of St. Lawrence, Jefferson, Oneida, Herkimer, Madison, Tompkins, Seneca, Cayuga, Onondaga, Oswego, Lewis and Cortland.

NY's Creative Core encompasses 12 Central Upstate counties and more than 250 partners who proactively advance regional development efforts by working together to promote the region’s strengths in leading-edge technologies, academic excellence, and vibrant communities through a unified brand. Through a strong regional image, Creative Core partners are shaping Central Upstate New York’s growth and success.
