The Grants for Growth program is a unique seed program that offers up to $75,000 in matching funds for innovative applied research projects between universities and industry that have the potential to improve business competitiveness and create jobs.

By seeding applied research relationships between university and industry, the program seeks to increase innovation and technology commercialization within the Central Upstate regional economy.

We're looking for the most innovative and growth-oriented entrepreneur or emerging business in the Creative Core!

The competition runs in three categories:

1) Emerging Business
2) Innovations in Agriculture
3) Student Business Idea

The 1st place winner in the Emerging Business category will win $100,000, making this event one of the largest business plan competitions in the country. The $5,000 Business Idea competition will award one talented high school or college student a cash prize for a great business idea essay.
